Teen tobacco use is a killer. More than 200,000 young people in North Carolina today will die prematurely because of tobacco-related illnesses. But there’s good news. In a recent statewide survey, African-American high school students who smoke reported a high desire to quit.
That’s why the NC Health and Wellness Trust is working with the Old North State Medical Society to help even more teens who want to kick the tobacco habit and to prevent others from ever starting. That process begins with education. Please share the information from this web site with the young people in your life.
